TEEN PROGRAMS
The Community Based Adolescent Pregnancy Prevention Program funded by the New York State Department of Health will provide sexuality education in public schools and throughout the community with the goals of:
• Promoting abstinence first and delaying the onset of sexual activity for adolescents
• Ensure that sexually active adolescents obtain access to family planning and
comprehensive reproductive health care services
• Enhancing parent communication about sexuality
• Providing youth development activities that improve self-esteem, life skills and opportunities
• Provide male oriented workshops, program activities
• Build partnerships with the community
