No
one is denied our services because of an inability to pay.
Private funds will guarantee that the Diaspora Community Services
will continue to have a major impact on the needs of both
men and women, children, adolescents and families from all
Brooklyn communities. Here are ways you can help to ensure
that our services are available to all who need them:
- Direct Donations
- Tribute
Gifts
- Planned Giving
- Naming Opportunities
You can make donations
at any time. You can specify that your donation be used
to support a specific program or to provide funds for developing
a new program. If you prefer not to restrict your contribution,
it will be used where the need is greatest.
Tribute Gifts
This is a thoughtful way
to honor the memory of someone important to you. You can
also honor someone on a special occasion such as a birthday,
anniversary, graduation, promotion, or significant achievement.
Planned Giving
There are a variety of ways
to structure a planned gift to the Diaspora Community
Services that can help you to minimize both your
current taxes and your estate taxes. Approaches to Planned
Giving may include bequests, a retirement plan gift whereby
Diaspora Community Services is designated as the final beneficiary
of your retirement or pension funds, a gift of an existing
life insurance policy or the purchase of a new life insurance
policy designating Diaspora Community Services as the beneficiary,
or a current gift of cash or appreciated securities. To
find out which approach best meets your needs, please consult
with your attorney.
Naming Opportunities
A named gift enables you to
support specific or general activities of Diaspora Community Services and to honor
a family member, friend or colleague in perpetuity. A group
of donors can pool their gifts to make a significant contribution
in honor of a colleague.
